    On May 18, 2017, this contract was awarded to Hutton Construction, L.L.C., has been determined to be the lowest qualified bidder in the total amount of $343,195.90.

     

  • Picatinny Booster Pumping Station Standby Power and Related Work

     

    Due to the high cost of the bids received as compared to the Budget, the bids were rejected on May 18, 2017.  The Authority will move to establish cost reduction measures and the project be re-bid.

     

  • Water Works Materials (Re-bid)

     

    Based on the low responsive bids received on March 23, 2017 for Water Works Materials, contracts were awarded on March 30, 2017 to:  Water Works Supply Co., Inc. for bid nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 in the total maximum amount of $135,989.41; and to HD Supply for Bid No. 5 in the total maximum amount of $10,470.00.

    The bids received on March 24, 2017, for this contract exceeded the amount accounted for in the Authority's Budget.  On April 20, 2017, the bids were rejected where the Authority will move to establish cost reduction measures and the contract be re-bid.

    It was determined that the lowest bid received by Longo Electrical-Mechanical, Inc., in the amount of $139,580, did not meet the requirements set forth in the bid specifications.  This contract was awarded on June 16, 2016 to A.C. Schultes, Inc. for it's low, qualified bid submitted on June 9, 2016 in the not-to-exceed amount of $176,940.

  • Painting and Rehabilitation of Picatinny Water Storage Tank No. 1

    It was determined that the lowest bid received by Worldwide Industries Corporation, in the amount of $796,000, did not meet the requirements set forth in the bid specifications.  Action on a contract award was deferred at the December 17, 2015 meeting because of a challenge by Worldwide Industries Corporation and a temporary restraining order issued by the Superior Court of New Jersey against awarding the contract to the second lowest bidder, Pro-Spec Painting; which challenge and temporary restraining order have since been dismissed.  This contract was awarded on January 21, 2016 to Pro-Spec Painting for its low qualified bid submitted on December 1, 2015 in the total maximum amount of $798,850.

    Bids for Water Treatment Chemicals were received on September 9, 2015.  The contracts were awarded on September 17, 2015 as follows:  Main Pool and Chemical Co., Inc., was determined to be the lowest qualified bidder for Sodium Hypochlorite and Sodium Bisulfite in the total amount of $70,650; Shannon Chemical Corporation was determined to be the lowest qualified bidder for Phosphate Compounds in the total amount of $15,747; George S. Coyne Chemical Company was determined to be the lowest qualified bidder for Calcium Hypochlorite and Liquid Citric Acid in the total amount of $17,603.60; and Calgon Carbon Corporation was determined to be the lowest qualified bidder for Granular Activated Carbon in the total amount of $70,000.

  • Tank Painting and Rehabilitation

    On December 30, 2014, the Authority received bids for the above contract which included a base bid for rehabilitation of Picatinny Water Storage Tank No. 2 and two supplementary bid items for external repair of the Baird Place Water Storage Tank and rehabilitation of the Morris Plains Water Storage Tank.

    The bid totals received for the base bid and the two supplementary bids exceeded the amount allocated for Storage Tank Rehabilitation and Inspection Services in the Authority’s 2015 Capital Improvement Program Budget.  Pursuant to Page IB-3 of the bid documents, the “Bidder understands that the Owner may, without limitation, increase, decrease or eliminate items of work to be performed under the Contract”.  At this time, the two supplementary bid items for external repair of the Baird Place Water Storage Tank and rehabilitation of the Morris Plains Water Storage Tank are being eliminated from the Contract.

    At the January 15, 2015 meeting of the Authority, the Board awarded the base bid for rehabilitation of Picatinny Water Storage Tank No. 2 to U.S. Tank Painting, Inc., based on the low, responsive bid in the not-to-exceed amount of $817,069.
